0.3 teaching hours - what does that mean?

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by dstarkey, Feb 3, 2011.

  1. Hi all,

I've applied for a job which advertised as 5 days per week Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, permanent. I have an interview in a couple of weeks, but now that I've re-read the details I've just noticed it says 0.3 hours, salary £21,748

My question is, how many days or hours is this likely to be, I've read somewhere that its 1.5 days per week, but I'm confused, also is this likely be term time only?

Oh dear, I'm really now unsure of what to do as I'm currently in a good job working full time, but need to relocate but don't think this post will even pay my rent.

    Thanks.

Only way to find out is to ring them and ask if it is a full-time full-year post!
    Best wishes

To me there's conflicting figures here.
Usually each am & pm count as 0.1, so; 5 mornings 0.5, 5 aftrernoons 0.5. ).3 would suggest 3 'sessions' could be am or pm 1 1/2 day or 3 ams/pms.
    But
    doesn't seem to fit?
Also the salary doesn't seem to equate either. So I'd phone up & ask for clarification.
